While studying Architecture in Genova, Maki begins working as a light technician in the theatre in 1991. His passion for lighting soon gets him work as a gaffer on film sets.
He moves to Milan in 2000 and founds MULTIPLICITY (www.multiplicity.it) with a group of artists, architects, video makers and photographers. It’s a collective experience of visual arts, contemporary urbanism and general culture.
2002 Maki films his first music video. He goes on to film the most important artists in Italian music, which draws the attention of the creative agencies.
Since then, Maki has shot commercials for clients such as Heineken, Fernet, Gillette, Morellato and Fidomestic, amongst others.
